Hi hun. The green wash neutralises the vinyl colour before you start to paint it. First you give the kit a good soapy wash and air dry (upside down so any water can drain out) - this gets rid of any oil and rubbish on the surface of the vinyl so when you begin to work on the kit the paint won't suddenly decide to peel back or something equaly nasty

. Then you make a wash with mint green paint and slap it over the whole sculpt as the video shows you. Most vinyl is either very pink or very peach - the green tones the colour down, more toward skin tones, so you can begin to work on a better colour base. Some people use a green wash on the outside. Others use a perriwinkle blue wash on the inside - more on the head than anywhere in the case of the blue - it does exactly the same sort of thing as the green wash - gives depth to the vinyl. Some vinyl is so skin like to start off with now that sometimes it doesn't need any neutralising - but I guess all these methods are very personal to what you like. I started off with the blue interior, but now use the green wash as I prefer that. Waffled a bit there hun, but hope that helps you
