last coat varnish question

does anyone here use matt varnish to finish off baby.. i just cant get on with it. once baked seems to leave reidue on baby.. i use 3d medium. mix it well and sponge it on to give a real skin sheen.. only thing is baby feels rough when done...is this something anyone else does.. just trying to figure out the best way to finish off with a real skin effect.. :?

It will leave the skin feeling rough hun ~ although if you
use a pouncing motion with a stippled brush you can create some really realistic
skin effects. :wink:
Make sure you are baking long enough and hot enough ~ to make sure there is no chalky residue.xxx
